We are getting ready to leave on our 8 week adventure. Randy and I are spending the summer on a small island called Saipan. It is southwest of Japan. Our friend Bryan Bucher's parents are the full time missionaries there. Because of the nature of their jobs and the price of airline tickets, they only get to travel home in the summers. We are taking over for them while they are stateside.
We are leaving June 5th. Beginning the 9th, we will work with the missionaries, Dave and Helen Ann, to put on a VBS for the local kids. After the VBS, Dave and Helen Ann will leave to visit their families. We will take care of the Sunday morning service and a mid week afternoon with the kids and teens.
We are excited about this adventure but a little aprehensive about the ministry of the church. We are praying that God will use us in spite of our inexperience. Your prayers are much appreciated!
